About ISSA Los Angeles (ISSA-LA)
ISSA-LA, the founding Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association in 1982, is the premier catalyst and information source in Southern California for improving the practice of information security. The Chapter provides various training classes for information Security and IT professionals throughout the year and at the Summit. ISSA-LA has a CISO Forum that meets quarterly at various companies throughout Southern California. The chapter meets monthly and regularly collaborates with other IT and InfoSec organizations, having joint meetings with ISACA, OWASP, the Cloud Security Alliance, HTCIA, and the Association of IT Professionals.
Liability Waiver and Release
I, the participant, acknowledge, appreciate, and agree that I am voluntarily undertaking participation in the ISSA-LA Security Summit, and that by doing so I assume all risk and take full responsibility for my own personal safety and well-being. I am fully aware that possible property damage, physical injury, illness or death may occur as a result of my participation in these events and activities. As well, I acknowledge that, as with the transmission of any communicable disease like a cold or the flu, I may be exposed to COVID-19, also known as “Coronavirus,” at any time or in any place and have evaluated my own personal health needs and concerns before registering for and attending the ISSA-LA Security Summit. I forever release the ISSA-LA, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, contractors, and representatives (collectively “Releases”) from any and all actions, claims, or demands that I, my family or heirs now have or may have in the future related to my participation in these activities.
Photo and Video Release
I agree and acknowledge that the ISSA-LA Security Summit plans to take photographs and video at the the ISSA-LA Security Summit and reproduce them in news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including the the ISSA-LA Security Summit website. By participating in the ISSA-LA Security Summit, I grant ISSA-LA the right to use photographs for such purposes. I am aware this is a release of liability and rights of use related to photographs and video; a contract between myself and ISSA-LA. I have read, understand and agree to these terms and I am entering into this agreement of my own free will.
