Acting Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in LA, US Dept of Homeland Security (DHS)
Eddy Wang is currently the Acting Special Agent in Charge for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Los Angeles. HSI Los Angeles is responsible for investigating, disrupting, and dismantling transnational criminal organizations and terrorist networks in the second largest metropolitan region in the United States.
Prior to this position, Mr. Wang was an Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) for HSI Philadelphia. In this role, Mr. Wang oversaw the office’s Cyber and Financial Division, which was responsible for investigating cyber-crimes, child exploitation, human trafficking, money laundering/ financial crimes, and the office’s investigative support functions. Mr. Wang also oversaw the two HSI Philadelphia-led High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) initiatives targeting Darknet narcotics trafficking and money laundering organizations operating in and from the Philadelphia-area.
Mr. Wang has been recognized by the Attorney General of the United States, the Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, and the Anti-Defamation League for investigative excellence.
