Bryan Hurd is a Managing Director in Stroz Friedberg’s Seattle office where he directs engagements around the world involving cybercrime and data breach response, information security, digital forensics, penetration testing, intellectual property protection and advising senior leadership and boards of commercial companies. Bryan has more than 25 years of experience in leading national and global investigations and operations for counterterrorism, counter espionage, and cyber breach response.
Prior to joining Stroz Friedberg, Bryan was the Director of Intelligence for the Microsoft Cyber Crime Center and has held executive leadership positions in an artificial intelligence start-up company as well as other commercial organizations, the military and in government.
Bryan is also an adjunct professor and keynote speaker at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies’ Program on Countering Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC). He frequently is invited to speak with various groups and forums such as the FBI’s InfraGard, Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA), SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) International, NAFER (The National Association of Federal Equity Receivers), and many other venues.
Bryan graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, received an MBA from the University of Maryland, and holds numerous certifications in antiterrorism, counter espionage, computer security and computer forensics including CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCCI, CCFT, and several others.
